Ok, with apologies to my fans, I think I've got the blog back up and running. At least the content, anyway. It froze up on me back in March, so I couldn't add any more posts. Yes, my life did move on despite the lack of posts.
For those techies out there, I wrested the blog from my previous hosting service, Yahoo Small Business, which had refused to upgrade its Wordpress software since... I dunno, 2005? So I had to wait for them to upgrade from 2.0.2 to 2.8 (finally!), and then I exported the files-- a capability that the software did not have in 2005. Now the site is hosted on BlueHost, which has been amazing. I have access to the server, phpMyAdmin, and I've been teaching myself the ins & outs of Drupal, which is the content management system the blog is running on now. Not very pretty yet, but I've just gotten started. And this is a diversion from my studies, so it may take a while before it looks the way I want it to.
So now you can read the backfiles. Some of the photos didn't make it, and others are HUGE. Sorry. I'll be fixing that later. Enjoy.
