So I did finally buy a computer a few weeks back. Actually went to the Apple Store and walked out with it. Plus a few extras, of course. I wanted to get everything set up before my classes started up again on October 8th. "Everything" being the Windows side of the house, so I bought and installed Vista, which insists on crashing. I figured it had been out for a year, so why not go for it? I have my answer.
Yes, I still do have Windows software that won't run on my Mac, if that's your question. Until the day I can use a Mac at work (which won't happen until PC and Mac are entirely seamless, and my college wins the lottery) and pigs can fly, I'm stuck using software that can only run on Windows.
About the new computer: top of the line for today. 24" screen, 2.8Ghz dual-core Intel processor. It has a camera built-in. You can find me on Skype with my email address, btw. Now I just have to remember to be fully clothed before I sit in front of the monitor.
