Yesterday was spent at
Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa checking out various hot baths, showers, mud, and lounging activities. I don't think I've ever taken so many showers in one day. The weather held out for a good bit of it, so clear blue sky coupled with towering palm trees, birds of paradise, and other floral landscaping definitely lent an air of paradise to the place. That, and people walking around in bathrobes and flip-flops, some with towels on their heads. I was heartened by the fact that most people had the same ghostly pallor as me, so I was glad I didn't waste money at a tanning salon the week before. In the winter, the entry fee to Glen Ivy is cheaper and the place less crowded. I'd say the weather was high 60s, low 70s, so it was perfect for the 102 degree water, which was only a few carrots and celery away from soup. I can't imagine going into those pools when it is summertime!
